JSS BARRISTERS PROMOTES THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN IN THE PRACTICE OF LAW BY JOINING THE JUSTICIA PROJECT

JSS Barristers is pleased to announce our participation in the Justicia Project, a Law Societies initiative with the aim of supporting the retention and advancement of women lawyers in the profession. Carsten Jensen QC, FCI Arb will serve as our designated Diversity Officer and lead the firm's participation in this initiative, along with our managing partner, Stacy Petriuk.


Congratulations to Maureen McCartney-Cameron on her recent election as President of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA)

Now in its 30th year, ACTLA is a Not for Profit Society which provides continuing education to lawyers in all phases of advocacy. In addition, ACTLA works with Government to promote the administration of justice and the public good.

Lexpert has released its top ten most important business cases for 2014. Among them is: (INFORMATION AND PRIVACY COMMISSIONER) V.
