Rachel joined JSS Barristers after articling and practicing as an associate in the Banking group of a large Alberta firm.
Prior to her articles, Rachel obtained a B.C.L. and LL.B from McGill University. During her time as a law student, Rachel volunteered at the McGill Legal Information Clinic, acted as a program coordinator for the McGill high school outreach program, and was a director of Canada Law Student Games. Rachel also competed in the Laskin Moot in 2014, where her team won the prize for best factum and third overall standing.
Rachel obtained her undergraduate degree in Engineering Science, majoring in biomedical engineering, from the University of Toronto. As an undergraduate researcher, Rachel received research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to explore questions in the realm of cellular biomechanics.
Before moving to Calgary, Rachel lived in Montreal, Toronto and Teramo, Italy. Thanks to these experiences, Rachel is fluent in Italian and French. During her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her dog, reading, and exploring restaurants around town.
